About the role
We're currently looking for a Mid/Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team. Some of your responsibilities will include:
* Architecting & building new features and systems using React,, GraphQL, TypeScript
* Working with the Heads of Engineering and Product to scope/prioritise/deliver product features
* Develop & support AI capabilities in the platform including RAG, vector databases, & prompt engineering
* Contributing to and influencing the ongoing design and architecture of our core platforms and services
* Sharing and learning best practices, patterns, and new technologies
Your skillset and mindset
* You are able to make pragmatic decisions in the context of an early stage startup that needs to prioritise delivery, experimentation, and adaptability over perfection
* You have 2+ years of experience building the frontend and backend of web products using technologies like React, TypeScript, NodeJS, PostgreSQL
* You have an understanding of how to write testable, maintainable code and automate your tests wherever possible that lead to stable code with minimal bugs
* You can provide and receive constructive, actionable feedback that leads to better solutions and outcomes
* Experience working with and is a plus
* Experience working with Ruby on Rails & Sorbet is a plus
* Experience working with AWS, serverless computing (e.g., AWS Fargate) is a plus
* Experience working with CI/CD pipelines is a plus
* Experience working with CDNs (e.g., AWS CloudFront) is a plus
* Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is a plus
* Experience working with E2E test frameworks (e.g., Cypress) is a plus
* Experience working with gRPC + Protocol Buffers is a plus
* Familiarity with Lean and MVP product practices is a plus
About Pacflow
The Engineering team at Pacflow was formed in 2021 and spun out of parent company Grounded Packaging. It has built three products that are currently serving the packaging industry plus an exciting road map - products include:
* Blueprint - a web-based 3D packaging design & visualizer tool (check it out at )
* Scope - a packaging assessment tool that allows our customers to compare various sustainable packaging materials based on data (carbon footprint, material usage, fossil fuels, +more) to allow them to make the largest positive impact on the environment when choosing sustainable packaging
* A packaging procurement platform that allows packaging businesses to manage custom packaging deals from concept to sale to production to delivery.
