About the Role:
We're seeking a Project Manager to support a government client in delivering operational activities across a portfolio of reform initiatives. This role offers exposure to legislative implementation, stakeholder engagement, and the opportunity to contribute to national projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead planning and implementation of assigned project deliverables.
* Allocate resources and manage day-to-day project activities.
* Monitor progress, escalate risks and issues, and ensure transparency.
* Develop project documentation and reports to required standards.
* Maintain project governance and scheduling.
* Engage stakeholders and represent the agency in various forums.
* Provide analysis on complex issues and contribute to policy and project coordination.
* Supervise and develop team members, encouraging career growth.
About You
You're a proactive and collaborative leader with strong communication skills and a commitment to public service values.
Mandatory Requirements
* Demonstrated experience managing similar-sized projects within the past 3 years.
* Strong understanding of multiple project delivery methodologies.
* High-quality written communication skills.
* Experience with MS SQL, data warehouse modelling, and Power BI is a plus.
* Proven ability to manage stakeholders across a geographically dispersed network.
* Analytical skills to drive change and business improvement.
* Demonstrated ability to lead teams and promote professionalism.
* Personal integrity and ability to work within legislative and policy frameworks.
* Australian Citizenship.
* Baseline AGSVA clearance.
Work Environment
This is a Canberra-based role with hybrid working arrangements considered. The team operates within a secure and collaborative environment, with a strong emphasis on culture and professionalism.
