Efiniti is an Australian-owned and based company that specialises in these fields across three business sectors — Carrier & ICT, Corporate & Government, and Technology Vendor.

About the role:
We're seeking an experienced Network Planner to deliver regional resiliency ring planning. You will work closely with network planners to design and remediate AA ring solutions, leveraging Telstra Wholesale (WL) lease backhaul to improve resilience and reduce oversized clusters.

Contract term: 6 months + extension
Location – Macquarie Park 2113 NSW

Key Accountabilities:
Planning & design:
Deliver end-to-end AA planning aligned to resiliency objectives and regional design requirements.
Validate AA context and network role (Aggregator / Shared-Internal) and confirm fit to cluster needs.
Define and validate topology options and constraints (ring, CSR daisy chain, ring mode, point-to-point).
Assess backhaul resiliency (fibre / lease / microwave) and ensure diversity requirements are met.
AA site selection & validation :
Select AA sites that meet all core requirements: lead site, 24/7 access, and valid long-term lease.
Confirm decom/relocation risk and operational constraints (MNIS/Property/Helix/VMR notes).
Confirm genset inlet requirement where required.
Avoid high-risk placements (restricted access sites, WHS risks, ODU bays unless unavoidable).
Validate AA location suitability including power, cooling, PSU, battery and alarming, especially for multi-footprint sites.
Apply IBC and campus/multi-tower rules where relevant (shared DAS rooms / multiple buildings/site codes).
Order creation & delivery coordination:
Create orders, dependencies and scope briefs with supporting documentation.
Confirm fibre/lease solution (new/existing), diversity, REGL and other constraints.
Review downstream CSR distribution, rehoming requirements and transmission upgrade needs.
Identify co-located dependencies (IBC/VHA/multiple CSR) and engage relevant delivery groups (Fibre/CSR/Lease/MW).
Determine WBS requirements and cross-dependencies; keep trackers current and audit-ready.
Stakeholder management:
Collaborate daily with planning and delivery teams to resolve constraints quickly.
Provide concise weekly status updates, risks, blockers and decision points.
Essential experience and skills:
Demonstrated experience in access network planning and ring/resiliency design.
Strong understanding of AA/CSR topology, diversity principles and resiliency-driven planning.
Proven capability in site selection with lease/access/WHS constraints.
Ability to validate scope using multiple data sources and produce defensible planning artefacts.

Who we're looking for?
Qualification, experience & Skills:
5+ years' experience in access network planning and delivery within large-scale telecommunications environments.
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, IT, or related field.
Industry certifications (CCNA/CCNP) preferred.
Knowledge of Australian telecom standards and access network frameworks.
Proven experience in access network planning and regional ring/resiliency design.
Experience working with AA/CSR topology, backhaul (fibre/lease/microwave), and diversity planning.
Experience in site selection considering lease, access, WHS, and operational constraints.
Experience in order creation, dependency management, and coordination with delivery teams.
Strong understanding of resiliency-driven network design principles.
Ability to assess topology options and validate planning scope using multiple data sources.
Strong documentation and planning artefact preparation skills.
Effective stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
