Bruce Rock Engineering (BRE) is a family-owned and operated business with a proud history of innovation and quality in transport equipment manufacturing. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Boilermaker to join our Geraldton team.
The Role
As a Boilermaker at BRE, you will be responsible for fabricating, repairing, and maintaining road transport and other equipment through high-quality steel fabrication. You'll work on a variety of projects, using your technical expertise to meet customer needs while ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
* Build, develop, and produce BRE and other products to customer requirements.
* Interpret technical drawings to fabricate metal components and structures.
* Select, prepare, and cut metal components using workshop tools and equipment.
* Fabricate and assemble components to technical specifications.
* Weld metal sections using MIG and FCAW techniques.
* Inspect and assess existing equipment and weld quality.
* Diagnose and repair damage as part of maintenance and servicing.
* Identify and resolve fabrication issues to meet deadlines and quality standards.
* Support and mentor apprentices and less experienced employees.
* Actively participate in safety initiatives, training, and toolbox meetings.
About You
Essential
* Certificate III in Fabrication (Heavy Fabrication – Boilermaking).
* 3–5 years' experience in fabrication, repair, and maintenance of road transport equipment.
Desirable
* Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work.
