This role is open to recent University graduates and applicants with less than 5 years of prior experience in a quantitative trading role. Vacancies are open for a September 2026 commencement in Austinmer, NSW, Australia. International applications are accepted.
At Tibra, you’ll help develop real-world trading systems and apply quantitative financial methods in some of the world’s most competitive financial markets.
Our comprehensive training program, including extensive in-house learning via Tibra University, offers hands on experience in building proprietary trading systems, with mentorship from our talented Quants and Developers. Through a blend of software development projects, financial market theory, and practical on-the-job guidance, you’ll gain the skills and insights needed to succeed as a Quant Trader Developer and play an active role in shaping Tibra’s trading strategies.

This role is based in Austinmer, NSW, Australia.
Experience required:
Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related subject
Experience with C++ or Python
Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms and operating systems
Experience with data analysis

Interview process:
As part of this application process, candidates will have two weeks to complete an aptitude and computer programming test. This will be followed by a series of two technical interviews (including a group task, as well as programming and quantitative interviews), and a final interview over the following two to four weeks.
