Job Description:
Accounts & Payroll Specialist
This diverse role takes ownership of day-to-day accounts and payroll functions, playing a vital role in supporting the financial operations of the organization.
You will work in a small team, responsible for managing various tasks including end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accurate personnel and payroll details are maintained, and handling accounts payable and receivable duties.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Xero and strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
* End-to-end payroll processing (fortnightly)
* Ensure accurate personnel and payroll details are maintained
* Accounts payable and receivable duties
* Bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking
* Debtor collection of overdue accounts
* Profit and loss analysis
* Processing payments via ABA file and bank transfer
* Process invoices via relevant portals
* Managing superannuation, PAYG, Q-Leave, salary packaging and other payroll liabilities
* Respond to payroll queries
* General administrative and accounting support
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar accounts/payroll role
* Experience with Xero is essential
* Experience with Flowlogic (desirable)
* Prior experience in dealing with NDIS & NIISQ (desirable)
* Solid understanding of payroll legislation, awards, and compliance
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
* Strong communication skills and a team player attitude
