Job Summary
As a Correctional Services Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining public safety and supporting the rehabilitation of offenders. Your duties will include securing prisoners, assisting with their rehabilitation, and promoting positive change within communities.
About the Role
This is a dynamic and varied position that requires energy, empathy, and resilience. You will work in correctional centres across Queensland, managing prisoner movements, overseeing vocational training, and creating file notes and reports.
* Induction of prisoners into the centre
* Staffing prisoner accommodation units
* Supporting engagement in cultural programs
* Operating control rooms
* Undertaking perimeter surveillance and searches
Please note that roles in the Courts Unit are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and do not attract aggregated shift allowance.
