**About the Role**
This is a dynamic and challenging opportunity to lead the development of our own brand products.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of our own brand products, including devising growth plans for sales teams and external customers, achieving new product development, sourcing and resourcing objectives, conducting market research, and setting the long-term vision and strategy, as part of our category teams.
You'll work closely with immediate and cross-functional teams in Australia and China, and we're looking for a problem solver who is attentive to detail, a great communicator, and has the drive and capability to hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage the Sourcing/Resourcing/New Product Development pipeline and collaborate with all stakeholders, including quality assurance and ethical sourcing.
* Analyse own brand product categories for profit enhancement opportunities and range expansion.
* Work collaboratively with the Global Sourcing Team located in China to source quality products that match our customers' needs.
* Determine product price positionings for the own brand range to achieve optimal total profit and market competitiveness.
* Drive own brand growth and strategy with analytics and support the business with insights.
* Showcase own brands product range across the customer base, providing fit-for-purpose recommendations to increase brand awareness and penetration.
About You
* A minimum of 5 to 10 years' experience in Product Development and range management, including stock management.
* Experience working with an off-shore Global Sourcing Team and a sound knowledge of their operations.
* Experience in manufacturing is essential, with experience in personal protective equipment (PPE) being highly regarded.
* Experience working across product quality assurance and ethical sourcing is essential.
* Strong project management and execution skills, attention to detail, and ability to work to deadlines.
* Demonstrated research skills in consumer goods and ability to interpret Australian standards.
* High-level communication skills with strong stakeholder engagement, negotiating and influencing skills.
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to innovate to improve profitability.
* Strong Excel skills and ability to work across multiple business systems.
