What you’ll be doing
* Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop the regional finance team, fostering a collaborative, high‑performing, and accountable culture. Delegate effectively, track performance against goals, and provide hands‑on support.
* Financial Strategy & Business Partnering Provide insights, analysis, and advice to the COO and CFO to support effective business decision‑making. Offer strategic financial leadership to the Operations business unit, identifying commercial opportunities to optimise asset performance and drive regional growth. Oversee integrated accounting and financial services across Delta’s operating assets. Manage financial performance reporting to the Corporate Finance team. Lead the consolidation of annual budgets and monthly reforecasts, including review, analysis, and preparation of presentation materials.
* Performance & Continuous Improvement Monitor financial and commercial performance of operational assets, identifying improvement opportunities aligned with best practice. Drive process improvements and implement robust financial controls, systems, and policies. Lead initiatives that enhance cost performance and support operational efficiency. Review and approve project financial evaluations in line with Delta’s policies. Drive the integration and improvement of financial systems and reporting across operating assets.
About you
* Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or business.
* 8–15 years total experience in finance, with 5+ years leading multi‑level teams (accounting, reporting) while remaining hands‑on and deeply involved in operational and analytical work.
* Extensive leadership experience with the ability to motivate teams and manage priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
* Advanced analytical, conceptual, and numerical capability, with a strong track record in business analysis, financial evaluation, and reporting systems.
* Deep knowledge of financial and computerised accounting systems.
