Sustainable Built Environment National Research Centre
The Sustainable Built Environment National Research Centre (SBEnrc) is a national research centre that brings together industry, government, and research organisations to make an impact in Australia's built environment sector.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Research Officer to join our dynamic team in a fixed-term (until 31 Dec 2027), part-time (0.4 FTE) role, with flexibility to work between Tuesdays to Thursdays.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Development and Management: Support the development, coordination, and delivery of research projects in consultation with the SBEnrc COO and Academic Project Leads.
* Research Support and Analysis: Actively contribute to research by conducting literature reviews, collating and synthesising information, analysing complex data sets, and interpreting results.
* Reporting and Publications: In collaboration with Project Leaders, draft and prepare progress reports, academic papers, and other outputs.
* Funding Development: Lead and support the preparation of competitive research funding applications (e.g., ARC, CRC).
* Compliance and Conduct: Ensure all research activities comply with relevant national and state legislation and Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
Requirements:
* A degree (preferably honours) in a relevant discipline with considerable relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
* A high level of discipline-specific knowledge and considerable experience in relevant scientific/research methods, techniques, and protocols.
* Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to successfully manage project activities to achieve desired outcomes.
* Demonstrated high-level problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to analyse experimental/research results and report on findings.
