This is a Back-of-House (BOH) catering role working directly with the Chef in supporting our catering operations.**Key Responsibilities**Your daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:* Assisting the Chef with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and sorting ingredients.* Performing general kitchen hand duties, including cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and workspaces.* Cleaning and maintaining all designated kitchen areas, appliances, utensils, and tools, including canopy and range hoods, fridges, grill, and deep fry bays.* Cleaning, washing, and storing cooking equipment and pots/pans.* Sorting and organising stock, ensuring proper storage and rotation of ingredients.* Assisting with minor cooking tasks, such as preheating food and preparing simple dishes.* Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.* Supporting the catering team in delivering high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders.**What We're Looking For**To be successful in this role, you will have:* Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.* Basic knife skills and knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.* Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.* The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.* Good communication and teamwork skills.* A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.* A preference for 1-2 years' experience in the hospitality industry.As Australia's leading independent law firm, Clayton Utz is built on a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
