Are you a skilled financial auditor ready to lead small teams and drive high-quality audit outcomes across the WA Public Sector?

We're seeking Principal Auditors who bring:

· substantial experience conducting external audits of financial statements

· strong analytical skills to interpret and apply accounting and auditing standards with sound judgement

· experience overseeing audit activities, including planning, reviewing work, and resolving issues

· effective communication and coaching skills to support team development and stakeholder engagement.

About the Role

As a Principal Auditor within Financial Audit at the Office of the Auditor General, you will plan, supervise, and report on audits of financial statements, controls, and performance indicators. You will lead small teams, and ensure audit work meets high standards of accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

You will engage directly with clients to build shared understanding of audit objectives and outcomes, analyse complex data to extract meaningful insights, and coach staff through on-the-job training and feedback.

We are establishing a pool of candidates for full time, part time, permanent and fixed term vacancies that arise within the next 12 months. Fixed term appointments may have the possibility of permanency.

We currently have several permanent, full-time positions available. Job share arrangements may be considered.
