The Opportunity:
ADCG Recruiting is seeking a Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team. This is a full-time role, ideally based in Canberra but open to all locations in Australia. This is a hybrid role, primarily based at a home office, with occasional in-office attendance in Canberra.
Reporting to the Manager, ADCG Recruiting, the Recruitment Consultant supports ADCG Recruiting to deliver specialist recruitment services to Defence, Government, and Defence industry clients. The role is responsible for end-to-end recruitment delivery, including sourcing, screening, stakeholder engagement, and placement coordination across permanent and contract roles. The Recruitment Consultant will contribute to continuing to build a credible, high quality recruiting function aligned to ADCG values and operating standards.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
* Delivering end-to-end recruitment services, including taking job briefs, clarifying role requirements, sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, onboarding, post-placement care, and recruitment-related invoicing
* Proactively sourcing candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, networks, and internal talent pools, while building and maintaining talent pipelines aligned to client demand and target skill sets
* Engaging and nurturing active and passive candidates and delivering a high-quality, candidate-first experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle
* Building and maintaining trusted client relationships, providing market insights, managing expectations through clear communication, and identifying opportunities for additional ADCG services
* Maintaining accurate records in ATS and CRM systems, following internal processes and SOPs, supporting continuous improvement, and upholding confidentiality and professional standards
* Continuing to develop and improve internal processes and SOPs.
* Contributing to the growth of ADCG Recruiting by representing the business across Defence-adjacent networks, supporting team cadence and reporting, and contributing to marketing inputs
What you bring to the role:
* A high degree of honesty and integrity.
* A current AGSVA security clearance is ideal but not essential. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required.
* At least 1 to 3 years' recruitment experience (agency or internal), preferably for defence, government, security, ICT, engineering or regulated environments.
* Strong sourcing and candidate engagement capabilities.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Confident using MS Office, ATS, and CRM applications.
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills with attention to detail, ensuring high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
* Professional judgement, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive information.
* Familiarity with security clearance contexts and constraints, or willingness to learn quickly.
* Ambition, drive, and enthusiasm to perform at a high level and meet and exceed goals as part of a high performing team.
