A rapidly growing clean‐energy technology company is seeking a Project Engineer to support its expanding portfolio of EV charging systems. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical expertise with hands‐on field experience and a passion for emerging electrification technologies. They are located on the south side of Brisbane, and is ideal for someone living in the southern suburbs of Brisbane or northern Gold Coast area.
About the Role
As a key Project Engineer, you will oversee the performance, development, and lifecycle of a modern fleet of EV chargers, while also supporting the rollout of next‐generation charging and battery technologies. You'll work closely across engineering, R&D, manufacturing, and customer‐facing teams to ensure products are safe, reliable, and continually improving.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive R&D initiatives for next‐generation EV charging technologies, staying aligned with market and regulatory trends.
* Serve as the technical subject‐matter expert for the EV charger product line, including design, integration, testing, and performance optimisation.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot field issues, conduct root‐cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
* Lead installation, commissioning, testing, and on‐site support for deployed EV chargers.
* Conduct preventive maintenance and performance evaluations of existing installations.
* Perform battery testing, EOL and FAT testing, and support factory engineering and manufacturing improvements.
* Collaborate across teams to enhance customer experience and overall product performance.
* Deliver technical training and produce high‐quality documentation and support materials.
* Manage OEM and supplier relationships to support product quality and continuous improvement.
Who We're Looking For
* Project Engineer with hands‐on experience in EV charging systems, (2 + years experience)
* Someone comfortable working in R&D, field commissioning, troubleshooting, and product optimisation environments.
* A problem‐solver with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functional teams.
