About the Role
This is a full-time on-site role for a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Melbourne. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of optics, biophysics, and micro-technology.
The project involves:
* Optical simulation, design, and construction of imaging systems and microscopes
* Design and clean-room micro-fabrication of optical elements
* Validation via various biophysical systems
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the role include:
* Conducting research in experimental optics for super-resolution microscopy
* Developing and implementing new imaging techniques
* Presenting scientific work via publications or seminars
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* A Bachelor or Master's degree in Physics, Chemistry, or Engineering (H1, GPA 3.4/4.0 or higher)
* Interest in biophysics and optics
* Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and/or experience with hands-on optical experiments and/or micro-fabrication
* Knowledge of optical physics
* Experience in presenting scientific work via publications or seminars
