Primary objective
Provide communication and marketing services advice in accordance with the College's Annual School Improvement Plan and business priorities.
Work with the Executive Team to lead or take part in the management of marketing and communications projects, strategies and communicating
them to the College's external stakeholders promoting positive branding in the wider community. Perform word processing, data entry, and other
administrative tasks as directed by the Business Manager.

Context statement
Taminmin College is a large, comprehensive, and complex Independent Public School that serves the rural area of Darwin, catering for students
from Years 7 to 12. The College Values of: Respect, Effort towards excellence, Achieve your goals, Caring community and Honesty are
embedded in all school operations. The school operates a large farm, a successful Vocational Education and Training program, as well as serving
special needs students through an onsite Special Education Centre. At Taminmin, every child matters and we strive to ensure their success by

Key duties and responsibilities
1. Responsible for the overall management of the college's marketing and communication materials, including creating content, proofreading,

developing, maintaining, and distributing all publications to ensure information is correct and promote a positive image to the wider community.
2. Manage College events and marketing campaigns including communicating strategies, advertising, sponsorship and promotion of college

initiatives and events on websites, radio, television, and social media platforms.
3. Provide input of the development and implementation of college marketing and communications policies, procedures and processes, including

checking media permissions
4. Assist the Assistant Principal with co-ordinating the transition programs for rural feeder primary schools, including the Young Scholars program

and Year 6 Orientation Day activities.
5. Attend out of hours College events for students to capture video and photography content at events such as formal, graduation, award

ceremonies, other school activities and community events.
6. Liaise with community members in relation to hire of the College facilities and coordinate contracts for use.
7. Work effectively within high performing teams and provide high level professional day to day administration support to the front office, College

Executive Team and teaching staff.
8. Provide administrative support to the farm operations, organise meeting agendas and meeting minutes.

Selection criteria
Essential
1. Manage marketing campaigns including communicating strategies, advertising, sponsorship, and promotions within the community.
2. Development of effective publications and digital/online materials including social media and maintenance of the School Website, with a high

level of computer literacy skills, including, experience with the effective use of various office applications such as Ci Anywhere and Compass
as well as desktop and web publishing, such as WordPress or similar.

3. Demonstrated ability to operate effectively with minimum supervision, meet deadlines and problem solve.
4. High level of oral communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to interact effectively with a variety of clients and external

stakeholders and the ability to work within a team.

Desirable
1. Qualifications in media, marketing, or design.
2. Experience working within a senior school setting.
