Purpose
Lead plumbing works on active construction/domestic sites, keep jobs moving under pressure, and run apprentices without management needing to step in.
This role exists to own site delivery while the business manages a high volume of commercial work.

Role Expectations
* Take full ownership of assigned work/sites
* Read and interpret commercial drawings and specifications
* Drive productivity without constant supervision
* Hold apprentices accountable to quality and pace
* Communicate delays, RFIs, or issues early

Core Responsibilities
Daily
* Install and oversee commercial plumbing systems
(sanitary, reticulation, gas, fire, stormwater, trade waste)
* Supervise and direct 1–2 apprentices on site
* Set out work from drawings and specifications
* Coordinate with builders, foremen, and other trades
* Maintain WHS, permits, and site compliance
* Track progress against the construction program
Weekly
* Plan upcoming scopes with management
* Review drawings, variations, and upcoming clashes
* Check/review apprentice performance and skills
* Confirm materials, deliveries, and plant
* Flag risks to program or quality early
Monthly
* Review defects, rework, and improvement areas
* Support apprentice training and trade progression
* Provide feedback on site systems and efficiency
* Assist with close-out and handover tasks

Required Skills & Experience
* Trade qualified plumber (commercial experience essential)
* Strong background in commercial/domestic construction
* Ability to lead apprentices on active sites
* Confident reading drawings and managing scopes
* Strong understanding of Australian Standards and compliance
* Reliable, decisive, and accountable
