About the role
Join the dynamic team as the Food & Beverage Manager. This exciting, full-time role is based in Kingscote, Kangaroo Island, South Australia, one of Australia's key attractions. You will be responsible for overseeing the food and beverage operations and ensuring a seamless experience for our guests.
What you'll be doing
- Manage and coordinate all food and beverage operations, including restaurant, bar and conference facilities.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximise revenue and profitability
- Ensure exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of the food and beverage team
- Manage budgets and inventory to control costs
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and implement recent ideas to enhance the guest experience
- Collaborate with the wider hotel management team to deliver a cohesive hospitality experience
- Hands on leadership and active involvement in the day-to-day operation of the department
What we're looking for
- Previous experience (2+ years) in a similar food and beverage management role within the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in financial management, including budgeting and cost control
- Thorough understanding of food and beverage operations, including inventory, ordering, and quality control
- Experience implementing successful marketing and promotional strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
$75,000 – $77,000 pa, subsidised accommodation
