About The Role
Are you an organised, personable, and proactive individual looking to be the face of a busy and dynamic department? We are seeking a Front Desk Admin Officer to join our Cardiology team, providing high-quality support to both inpatient and outpatient clients. You will be the first point of contact for the Cardiology CSU, ensuring the smooth operation of front desk and administrative duties across the department. You will work with a team of six admin officers and liaise with the Cardiac Cath Lab and Diagnostic Centre. Working hours are Monday to Friday 07:30 – 4:00pm.
Responsibilities
* Greet and assist patients on arrival and departure
* Book inpatient diagnostic tests and outpatient clinic appointments
* Provide administrative support to clinicians, including typing medical letters
* Manage the Referral Information Management System (RIMS)
* Coordinate the Pulmonary Hypertension Clinic schedule
* Monitor and respond to the main Cardiology inbox
Foster a strong team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
About You
* Previous experience in a healthcare or customer-facing admin role preferred
* Strong typing skills desirable
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Team player with a positive, professional attitude
* Training will be provided for the right candidate
