About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Employment Consultant to join our team. As an Employment Consultant, you will play a crucial role in supporting and guiding clients to attain suitable, meaningful employment opportunities that lead to sustainable employment outcomes.
Your primary responsibility will be to use your customer service skills to build rapport with your clients, assist them on their employment journey, and help them overcome barriers to employment.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders as part of managing the referral & intake process of job seekers into their chosen program.
* Assess job seeker skills, abilities, and identify barriers and intervention strategies.
* In consultation with our job seekers, develop and maintain work preparation strategies, job seeking strategies, tailored interventions (including other service providers), and employment support activities.
* Reverse market job seekers to achieve sustainable employment opportunities.
* Provide pre-employment assistance through vocational counselling, training, job search skills, and work trials/work experience to increase capacity for employment.
Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of job seekers and deliver services in accordance with established guidelines.
* Conduct thorough assessments of job seeker skills and abilities to identify areas for improvement.
* Deliver career guidance, job search support, resume writing, and interview preparation to enhance job seeker employability.
* Refer job seekers to relevant programs and services as needed.
* Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure seamless delivery of services.
