ACEREZ, a partnership of ACCIONA, COBRA and Endeavour Energy, has been appointed network operator by EnergyCo to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the Central‐West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) transmission network. The project will build new high‐capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and supporting infrastructure to transfer power generated by solar and wind projects.
Our Central‐West Orana project is currently seeking dedicated Supervisors across multiple disciplines, including Electrical, Civil, Structural, Cables Termination, Towers, Stringing and Commissioning to share expertise within the Transmission Lines & Towers Energy Hubs and Substations team.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure all construction works meet specifications and relevant standards.
* Take responsibility for the quality of work under their supervision.
* Ensure that all construction works undertaken and completed are in conformance with the specification, relevant standards and Code of Practice.
* Check that all required activities under Hold and Witness Points have been performed before commencing work.
* Ensure all workers receive a project‐specific induction explaining hazards and control measures.
* Adopt a zero‐tolerance stance towards unsafe work practices and equipment with serious safety or environmental impact.
* Ensure the project team completes all outstanding defects as a priority.
* Document non‐conformances and initiate corrective actions.
* Provide positive leadership to subcontractors, monitor and control their performance and ensure workmanship quality.
* Drive a commitment to quality both top‐down and bottom‐up.
* Ensure compliance with ACEREZ D&C management system procedures including Plant Operator Assessments, verify Daily and Weekly Checklists and work with permits where required.
* Participate in the preparation of Safe Work Method Statements and JSA cards with work crews and ensure controls are effectively implemented and reviewed.
Required Skills and Competencies
* Preferable 5+ years' experience as a supervisor in electrical, civil, structural, cables termination, stringing, towers or commissioning, or in managing relevant trade packages.
* Experience on large‐scale renewable energy transmission, towers, substations or similar infrastructure projects.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others and to solve problems analytically.
* Strong understanding of specifications, drawings and regulatory requirements.
* Experience managing subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and procedures.
* Competent leadership skills and ability to persuade and influence others.
* Planning and organising skills for work schedules.
* Working knowledge of HS&E requirements.
* Ability to issue clear directions to construction workers.
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
* Self‐confident, able to multi‐task and make sound judgments.
Supervisor positions are Delivered in Direct Op. (DIDO) out of Sydney: 14 days onsite in camp‐style accommodation and 7 days offsite on a roster‐based arrangement for the Central-West Orana Transmission Line Project.
