About the position
A teaching focused academic is expected to demonstrate teaching excellence in keeping with La Trobe Teaching Excellence Principles and maintain a track record of excellence as evidenced by Student Feedback on Teaching (SFT) surveys undertaken at least once during each 12‐month period of the fixed‐term period, peer‐review of teaching and through other evidence‐based measures.
Positions are open to PhD students in SABE only. The candidate must maintain active PhD candidacy for the duration of the appointment. The appointment will be terminated if an appointee ceases to be an actively enrolled PhD student in SABE.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have:
* Active in PhD candidature for at least 4 months in the School of Agriculture, Biomedicine and Environment.
* Demonstrable advanced knowledge in one or more disciplines taught by the School.
* Evidence of effective time management.
* Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively, collaboratively and productively with staff and students from a diverse range of backgrounds.
* Demonstrated ability to work as a team member in a collaborative and collegial manner.
