Partnership & Communication Manager - Strong Women for Healthy Country Network

Aboriginal women across the Northern Territory hold deep cultural, ecological and community knowledge. The Strong Women for Healthy Country Network Aboriginal Corporation (SWHCN AC) has emerged as an important structure for connecting women leaders, sharing knowledge and strengthening women's role in caring for Country, culture and families. It has grown out of the SWHC Network movement that was initiated through Mimal Land Management Aboriginal Corporation at the request of senior women Dalabon, Rembarrnga and Mayili Elders in 2019.

The SWHCN AC has strong grassroots support, but it is still in the early stages of establishing its corporate governance, systems and long-term sustainability. At the same time, demand is growing for women-led on-Country healing, leadership gatherings and regional coordination, including:

* Ongoing governance and "getting business ready" support for SWHCN AC
* Healing Camps on Country
* Message Stick meetings to connect women and communities
* Strong Women for Healthy Country Forum bringing together members, supporters & partners

The Mimal SWHC Program will continue to operate whilst it has dedicated funding and until SWHCN AC is business ready and able to attract and manage the funding required to deliver its priorities.
