About The Role
Electronic Recycling Australia (ERA) is experiencing a constant increase in the number of materials coming through the warehouse for recycling. To support this increase in work, ERA are requiring additional workers. The role is based in Ottoway and will report to the Recycling Manager. The site operates Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and sort E-Waste including electrical items, televisions, monitors, computers, laptops, mobile phones and mattresses for recycling
- Load and unload containers with materials efficiently
- Operate and maintain hand and power tools for dismantling and processing materials
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following waste management guidelines
- Follow NDIS Practice Standards, the NDIS Code of Conduct, and the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework
- Deliver recycling outcomes in accordance with AS5377
About You
This is a hands-on processing position that is suited to people who enjoy working in a collaborative environment to achieve competitive targets and don’t mind getting their hands dirty. You will be a proactive worker eager to learn new skills, who also appreciates the reward of working with and supporting people with disability in the workplace.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
- Comfortable performing manual tasks in a production environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Able to follow instructions and procedures to ensure workplace safety
Requirements:
- A National Police Clearance (no older than six months old)
- A valid NDIS worker screening clearance
- Evidence of right to work in Australia
- 100 points of identification
