Overview
Become part of the Kimberley Family Relationship Centre in Kununurra. This permanent, part‐time (0.6 FTE / 22.5 hours per week) position offers a starting salary of $95,600 per annum (pro‐rata, inclusive of 10% remote allowance) plus 12% superannuation and a 10% remote allowance.
Responsibilities
* Conduct initial triage, intake assessment, and information sessions for families seeking support.
* Assist families in strengthening relationships, focusing on children's needs in a culturally appropriate manner.
* Provide professional, timely, and culturally appropriate information and services to Aboriginal and non‐Aboriginal families.
* Support families to identify "good life" goals using the Sunshine model.
* Develop and maintain effective networks and partnerships with relevant stakeholders to facilitate referrals.
* Conduct home visits and provide outreach to families and communities in the Kimberley region as required.
Qualifications & Experience
* Aboriginal descent (Section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984).
* Understanding of Property Mediation, Family Dispute Resolution, counseling, Child‐Focused Practice and other Anglicare WA services.
* Knowledge of local Aboriginal culture, family relationships, kinship systems, and the impacts of trauma and domestic violence.
* Ability to identify risk, conduct risk assessments, and support clients with safety planning.
* Clear and accurate documentation skills.
* Current National Police Clearance (valid within one year), WA driver's licence, and WA Working With Children Check.
