ASAP StartCasual role (short term contracts available)ASO2 casual hourly rateFull time hoursAbout the role and the team:The Payroll Officer is accountable to the Operational Team Leader, Team 2, Shared Sector, Payroll Services.Team 2 is responsible for all payroll data entry from the CHRIS21 databases for government agencies (non-Health).
This team is responsible for processing new starters, personal data changes, master data changes, superannuation, deductions and tax.
They are also responsible for all Payrun reporting checking and investigation of payroll queries submitted directly by the agency and employees.The Payroll Officer will:Process pay files, and facilitate the processing of pay-related processes.Develop a variety of payroll skills, such as fortnightly master data entry, timesheet coding, and leave application processing.Address and solve complex pay-related queries.Work effectively both individually and as a member of the team to meet deadlines, identify and solve problems.Collaborate with their team towards daily targets and actively contribute to achieve shared goals.Candidate Requirements:A current National Police Clearance check is mandatoryExperience with payroll desirableExperience with Chris21 preferredExperience in customer service (call centre)Experience in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word and Excel (Intermediate)Experience with data entry (minimum 40wpm)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detailDemonstrated ability to manage high volumes of work in a fast paced environmentHoned ability to meet strict deadlinesProven reliabilityIf the above sounds like you and you are available to commence immediately please apply online TODAY!
