Property Lawyer
North Herring Lawyers is a busy general practice in Queanbeyan. As our business continues to expand, we have an opportunity for lawyer with a keen interest in property law to play a key hands-on role in our team.
You will be responsible for the conduct of matters from initial client contact through to completion. Your experience supervising conveyancing clerks, para-legals and other support staff will be a strength.
You will need to be self-motivated, work quickly and accurately, have outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to build upon our excellent reputation in the region by developing strong relationships with our clients, other solicitors, agents and other key stakeholders.
You will already have skills and experience in:
* Drafting, reviewing and advising on contracts for sale of land, residential building contracts and contracts for the sale of commercial premises, in NSW and the ACT.
* Drafting, reviewing and advising on retail and commercial leases, acting for both landlords and tenants.
* Being able to handle competing tasks and workload while maintaining a high standard of professional work.
* Supervising members of, and working closely with, a conveyancing team to ensure that work performed is timely, accurate and delivered to the highest possible standards.
To perform well, you will display a commitment to the profession, strong time management and file management skills and be able to work autonomously and with limited supervision. However, you will be supported by experienced directors who are passionate about outstanding legal service delivery.
