About The Role
Walgett Shire Council is seeking a motivated and organisedTraining Coordinatorto maintain Council's training programs. This will involve (1) monitoring essential certifications to ensure it is safe for people to perform certain duties; (2) finding, promoting and organising ongoing professional development across all Council areas; and (3) maintaining accurate training records.
This role will suit someone who enjoys planning and organising learning activities and who is able to work closely with managers and supervisors to understand training needs and staff availability.
This position sits within Council's People and Culture Team and the position will have opportunities to support other HR-related processes such as recruitment, onboarding, appraisals, and return to work programs for injured workers.
About You
Experience in HR or administrative roles, with strong coordination skills.A genuine passion for training, development, and supporting people to working with staff from a wide range of educational and cultural backgrounds.Ability to maintain accurate records, track training needs, and work to deadlines.Strong communication skills and confidence working with internal and external stakeholders.Familiar with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).Certificate III in Business, Human Resources or willingness to obtain.Return to Work Coordinator accreditation or willingness to obtain.
