Research Fellow Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Research Fellow in our esteemed research institution. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project focused on applied economics and forensic accounting, specifically in the area of illegal wildlife trade.
This is a unique chance for an enthusiastic applied economist or forensic accountant to contribute to our expanding research program. As part of this role, you will be working closely with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, including forensic scientists, conservation biologists, criminologists, economists, and policy experts.
About the Role
* This is a fixed-term, full-time position for 2 years.
* You will be appointed to a research-intensive position supported by our ARC Industry Laureate Fellowship.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Conducting economic analysis of illicit markets, financial crime, and trade economics.
* Developing and implementing data analysis and modelling techniques.
* Collaborating with team members to achieve project goals.
Requirements
* A PhD in applied economics, forensic accounting, ecological economics, criminology, or a related discipline.
* Demonstrated research ability in the economic analysis of illicit markets, financial crime, trade economics, or related areas.
* A track record of peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations in relevant fields.
* Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams and communicate clearly and effectively in English.
* Capacity to manage research activities in coordination with the project lead.
