About The Role: We are currently seeking a diligent & experienced Logistics Coordinator to manage both international and domestic transportation activities and support the overall transportation process. As the Coordinator, you will be dealing with shipping companies, customs agents, warehouse staff, buyers, suppliers, and clients to ensure the timely and efficient movement of goods. In this role your key responsibilities include (but are not limited) to the following: Overseeing shipping operations Management of inventory processes to proactively & autonomously maintain efficiency and compliance Maintain strong relationships with logistics and 3PL vendors Track shipments and communicate with stakeholders about the progress Ensuring the workshop is consistently supplied with the materials and resources Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and PAU policies, procedures and standards Arrange 3PL storage movements and support offsite stock takes Secure and report savings and cost reductions achieved and secured in the logistics process Approve freight invoices and ensure timely resolution of invoice queries This position is set for immediate start, successful candidates will possess : Preferably 2-3 years experience in general freight forwarding and intermodal transport (air, sea, road, rail, imports and exports) Current Forklift Ticket (LF) & experience (Reach & Counterbalance) Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of ERP system (preferably SAP) Ability to organise data and compile/publish data and reports in MS Suite – particularly Excel Understanding of INCOTERMS Experience with Freight Forwarding, Custom Clearance and transport-related field Customer service and negotiation skills to deal with overseas/local stakeholders Familiar with the legal requirements regarding importing and exporting shipments Confident with figures (ability to convert weights, volumes and currencies for imports) Ability to work autonomously and track multiple processes Demonstrated commitment to safety and improvement Teamwork & strong work ethics Own transport Ability to prioritise workload Ability to pass a Pre - Employment Medical Happy to participate (and pass) in random Drug & Alcohol testing Relevant experience/knowledge of OH&S Full Working rights/ Australian Resident Clean police clearance The below additional experience/qualifications will be highly regarded: Dangerous goods experience Qualifications in Logistics HS / AHECC code exposure / understanding Shipping document exposure/understanding (commercial invoice, packing list, COO, packing declaration) FTA exposure / understanding Biosecurity/customs exposure Successful candidates can expect: Immediate start (After completion of Medical and inductions) In depth training Exposure to mining plant & equipment maintenance & construction Competitive hourly wages Free onsite parking Ongoing work for the right candidates Zero Harm culture If you have the above experience, licences and certifications & wish to join a friendly, experienced & productive team long term, we encourage you to apply by clicking the "Apply" link below.
