About the role:
Because of their large scope of project work, an opportunity has come up for a data modeller in their offices in Sydney.
You'll be joining an elite team of data modellers and architects to analyse business needs, design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for various databases.
Responsibilities:
* Requirement Analysis:Gather and translate complex business requirements into technical specifications for data models.
* Data Model Design:Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to map data relationships and structure information within databases and data warehouses.
* Data Integrity & Quality:Implement and enforce data quality rules, data governance standards, and best practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
* Performance Optimization:Evaluate, troubleshoot, and optimize data models for optimal performance, scalability, and efficiency.
* Collaboration:Work closely with business analysts, data architects, developers, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and implement data strategies.
* Documentation:Create and maintain comprehensive data dictionaries, metadata, and technical documentation for data models and data flows.
About you:
* Excellent experience working in data modelling and architecture in governemtn agencies
* Excellent expereince of data modelling principles across conceptual, logical and physical data models.
* Excellent experience manageing stakeholders
* Experience with DV2 and dimensional data modelling.
* Experience in different data modelling techniques and design patterns.
