Position Purpose
The Landscaper is responsible for carrying out a range of landscape construction, planting, and garden maintenance tasks to ensure all client sites are presented to a high standard.
The role supports the delivery of programmed works and one-off projects in accordance with company procedures, safety requirements, and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Landscape Construction & Maintenance
Perform turfing, planting, mulching, pruning, hedging, and general garden maintenance.
Hardscape works including paving, edging, concreting, retaining walls, and minor carpentry.
Operate hand tools and powered equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and brushcutters safely and effectively.
Undertake soil preparation, irrigation installation and repair, and other site works as required.
Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of work vehicles, equipment, and job sites.
2. Quality & Efficiency
Ensure all works are completed to the company's quality standards and within agreed timeframes.
Follow job cards and schedules through the company's job management system (e.g., Tradify).
Report site issues, hazards, and variations promptly to the Team Leader.
3. Health, Safety & Environment
Comply with all WHS procedures and use PPE at all times.
Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Follow environmental management practices including waste segregation, erosion control, and safe chemical handling.
4. Client Service & Teamwork
Represent the company professionally when on client sites.
Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and fellow team members.
Support other teams and projects as directed.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential
Proven experience in landscaping, horticulture, or grounds maintenance.
Sound knowledge of plant care, landscape techniques, and use of landscaping tools/equipment.
Current Manual Driver's Licence.
Desirable
Certificate III in Landscape Construction or Horticulture.
Chemical Handling Certificate (ACDC).
MR licence or machinery operation experience (e.g., skid steer, excavator, ride-on mower).
