We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join our team. This is a rewarding role, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer and working closely alongside an experienced team, including a HR & IR Co-ordinator.

About us
We are a boutique disability support service provider based in the inner city. We offer a 9-day fortnight, a parking bay, flexibility for family commitments, phone and laptop provided, 5 weeks' annual leave, 13 weeks long service leave after 7 years together with numerous other health and wellbeing perks.
What you will do
1. Responsible for end-to-end processing of six fortnightly payrolls, comprising 1,500 people.
2. Subject matter expert with regards to SCHADS Award, WA State requirements, superannuation, PAYG and payroll tax.
3. Finalise employee onboarding and maintain employee records.
4. Process workers compensation claims, reconciling reimbursements and related correspondence (note you will not be required to co-ordinate injury management).
5. Calculate termination payments, long service leave and other leave provisions as required.
6. Develop excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
7. Support annual pay review processes, including accurate implementation of pay rate changes.
8. Support data analysis for internal and external reporting, e.g. annual budget, ABS surveys, insurance renewals, and WGEA.
9. Assist with month-end reconciliations of wages, PAYG, superannuation and salary sacrifice.
10. Update and maintain payroll procedures, including ensuring key forms and documents are current.
11. Conduct regular reviews, system checks and internal audits of the payroll system to ensure accuracy and integrity.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements
1. Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Finance or business-related field.
2. 5+ years working in a complex payroll environment.
3. Experience managing multiple payrolls and liaising closely with Finance team.
4. Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
5. Ability to learn a new in-house system quickly and work effectively in Microsoft Excel.
6. Ability to multi-task with good organisational skills.
7. NDIS Worker Screening Check (NB: if a Check is not yet held by you, then we can provide the forms for you to obtain a Check before the role commences).
8. Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module (NB: This can be completed online and any offer will be made subject to completion).
