Department of Water and Environmental Regulation WA – Joondalup WA
This permanent role offers the chance to shape how the department supports, develops and delivers services to its people. As Manager, Talent and Culture, you will turn workforce needs into practical solutions, lead a dedicated team, work closely with leaders, and promote diversity and inclusion across our work. Your focus will be on delivering responsive, high-quality services that strengthen learning, and build both management and leadership capability within a positive, safe and respectful culture.
The Position
As Manager, Talent & Culture, you will guide how the department develops and supports its workforce. You will provide clear and practical advice on people, capability and culture, assist leaders with workforce matters, and ensure our learning, inclusion and performance initiatives are accessible and aligned with public sector values. A commitment to fairness, continuous improvement and inclusive practice is essential.
In your first year, you will help lift leadership and managerial capability supporting the department's engagement with the Public Sector Commission's Skills Academy. You will also strengthen diversity and inclusion, and improve learning systems and program delivery—supporting a safe and positive workplace for everyone.
The core leadership behaviours outlined in Leadership Expectations are applicable to this role and should be demonstrated in the context of Leading Others. Leadership in this context is about motivating and enabling others to delivery high quality work that contributes to the department.
