We are seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to join our team as Assistant Director - HR and Safety Services.
About the Role
* This is a critical leadership position within our Human Resources & Safety Team, requiring a strong understanding of HR policies and legislation.
* The successful candidate will provide expert advice and guidance on human resource and safety issues, and lead a small team of HR practitioners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Interpret and apply HR policies and relevant legislation to provide accurate, consistent, and timely advice to employees.
2. Lead the team to deliver high-quality advice and support across the agency relating to people management issues.
3. Monitor workload and prioritize urgent enquiries, processing a high volume of correspondence.
4. Deliver HR business improvement projects, maintaining delivery of other team priorities.
