Salary
* Psychologist: $76,531 – $113,765pa.
* Specialist Psychologist: $109,631 - $134,446pa
* Plus environmental allowance, employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

CSNSW Sex Offender Programs has positions available in two locations: Community-Based Sex Offender Programs (ComSOP) in Surry Hills, and Custody-based Sex Offender Programs (SOPCustody) at Long Bay Correctional Complex. We are invested in providing an opportunity for men convicted of serious sexual offences to understand their behaviour and make changes to achieve their goals.
Your Role
You will be tasked with applying key therapeutic frameworks to guide assessment and treatment recommendations, as well as delivering group-based offending behaviour programs and individual interventions aimed at reducing the risk of re-offending. The positive impacts you will make as a clinician will extend beyond your direct client, to the client's family and the wider community.
You will have the opportunity to run co-facilitated cognitive behavioural group programs with a focus on behaviour change and promoting self-efficacy and self-awareness of clients. These roles also provide the opportunity to develop expertise in long-term, in-depth group and individual interventions, working with complex clients from diverse backgrounds.
ComSOP additionally provides individual risk management sessions and consultation with key stakeholders to provide support for reintegration and assistance in managing risk of reoffending. A role at SOPCustody will involve working in a multidisciplinary team to facilitate intervention to equip people convicted of sexual offences with skills and strategies to make informed choices, whilst also contributing to the reintegration and risk management planning of such individuals with stakeholders.
What You'll Do
As a Psychologist your tasks can include:
* Delivering group-based offending behaviour programs and individual risk management to offenders in custody and the community.
* Providing risk assessment, clinically interviewing clients and determining appropriate treatment pathways / risk management planning and guiding supervision practices in the community.
* Preparing treatment plans, treatment reports, and risk assessment reports for stakeholders.
* Applying the key therapeutic frameworks to guide assessment and treatment recommendations.
* Contributing to the research and training on the assessment and treatment of offenders
* Delivering training to stakeholders.
* Work as part of a team under the supervision of a Senior Psychologist and Chief Psychologist.
* Apply key therapeutic frameworks to guide risk management decisions.
* Liaison with key stakeholders such as Community Corrections and the Extended Supervision Order Team to support the reintegration of offenders into the community and to manage risk of reoffending.

What We're Looking For
* A dedicated and ethical psychologist who is passionate about delivering high-quality mental health and behavioural services.
* Experience in mental health, cognitive impairment, risk assessment, and behaviour management in complex environments.
* Understanding of contemporary correctional principles and evidence-based intervention strategies.
Essential Requirements
* Minimum four-year accredited qualification in psychology, with current provisional or full AHPRA registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
