About The Position

RetireAustralia is looking for an experienced Gardener to join our welcoming and friendly team on a Full-Time basis. Located at Tarragal Glen Retirement Village, this position will allow you to utilise your knowledge and skills to make a real difference in the lives of our residents.
This position is integral in ensuring that our residents at the centre of everything we do, by ensuring exceptional professional and respectful service to those who call our beautiful village home.
Reporting to the Village Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Skilfully manage and maintain the grounds, encompassing gardening and landscaping duties.
* Constructing and renovating new or existing small landscaping jobs, rectifying any faults, and reporting them.
* Perform grass mowing, including the edges of the driveway and other roads. Line-trim under fences and gates and conduct weed spraying as required.
* Keeping driveways, roads, and parking areas clean and well presented.
* Assisting with the maintenance of gardening equipment.
* Rectify or report to the Village Manager any safety issues or breaches of Workplace, Health and Safety.
Essential Criteria
As part of the application process, you will be required to provide a National Police Check, proof of right to work in Australia, verification of identification and qualifications, and participate in pre-employment assessment.
* Demonstrated gardening skills and substantial experience in the field (Desirable).
* Certificate III in Horticulture (Parks & Gardens or Landscaping) (Advantageous).
* Current Drivers Licence.
* National Police Check (or ability to obtain) – no older than 6 months from date of issue.
* First Aid & CPR Certificate (or ability to obtain).
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test.
