The Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join a private equity-backed Australian business entering its next phase of growth. Operating nationally, this organisation is becoming an icon of the gaming and entertainment space. With a strong recurring revenue model, loyal customer base, and significant network effects, the organisation is well positioned for expansion.The Role You will be the most senior finance leader within the business and a key member of the executive leadership team. You will partner directly with the Executive Director, divisional leaders and board, providing commercial insight, building robust reporting frameworks, and helping drive EBITDA growth. The responsibilities of your role will include but not be limited to the following.Lead the full annual budgeting process, including divisional engagement and executive alignmentBuild and maintain a 3-5 year financial model aligned to strategic growth initiativesTranslate strategic initiatives into financial outcomes, KPIs and measurable performance targetsConduct detailed margin and contribution analysis across products, venues, and event categoriesAnalyse venue and partner economics to optimise pricing and incentivesSupport evaluation of growth initiatives, new products, and potential acquisitionsIdentify and drive EBITDA improvement opportunitiesAct as a trusted commercial advisor to the Executive Director and leadership teamChallenge divisional leaders constructively on financial performance and strategySupport pricing strategy, incentive design and margin optimisationImprove financial accountability and commercial literacy across the organisationProvide insight-led analysis to inform key strategic decisionsDesign and implement a structured monthly management reporting frameworkDeliver board-ready reporting aligned to private equity governance standardsDevelop KPI dashboards and performance commentary for executive and board stakeholdersImplement rolling forecasting discipline and forward-looking financial analysisImprove financial visibility across cashflow, margins, contractor economics and revenue driversLead and structure the finance function as the business scalesEstablish clear separation across commercial finance, accounting and transactional processingImprove efficiency through process improvement and automationStrengthen financial controls and governance frameworksReduce key-person dependency and introduce scalable finance processesThe Candidate With experience working within a PE environment, you are a commercially minded finance leader who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and enjoys building structure and insight in growing businesses.
