The Role

As a valuable member of the Dyno Nobel Phosphate Hill Team, your experience as a registered nurse in remote or regional areas will be highly regarded. You will be responsible for providing professional and high level first aid services, emergency health care and occupational health and hygiene services. This is a FIFO role from Townsville to Phosphate Hill.

This newly created part time position supports a flexible work arrangement and ensures continuous coverage across our site. You’ll be part of a team providing day-shift medical services and occasional after hours call outs, with access to external support like RFDS and Telehealth.

You Will Also Be Responsible For

- Emergency medical treatment and pre-hospital trauma care.
- First aid.
- Injury management.
- Management of the site medical centres.
- Management of emergency medical equipment.
- Management of emergency ambulance and associated equipment.
- Develop, market and lead monthly health promotions relevant to site requirements and personnel.
- Maintain external relationships with RFDS, Townsville, Mt Isa & Dajarra health professionals
- Record and maintain accurate health statistics and records ensuring confidentiality.
- Promote and maintain awareness of the company and company values by participating in audits and risk assessments.
- Perform fitness for work (alcohol and other drug) testing.

About You

You’re a confident and capable Registered Nurse with a strong background in emergency care and a passion for working independently in remote environments. You understand the importance of accurate documentation and are meticulous in managing patient records and sensitive health data. Your ability to balance clinical care with compliance and privacy obligations ensures the highest standard of service and trust. You’re also tech-savvy, adaptable, and thrive in environments where autonomy and sound judgement are essential.

Other Desired Skills And Experience Include

- Minimum 5 years post-grad experience in emergency nursing
- Advanced life support & pre-hospital trauma life support
- HLTPAT005 –
- BSBWHS419 – Respirable Dust Monitoring (SIMTARS course)
- Strong computer literacy, including experience with Medical Director, Atlas, and SharePoint, or similar programs
- A meticulous approach to record keeping and secure management of patient data, ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory standards
- A calm, decisive presence in high-pressure situations
- Rescue qualifications or the ability to obtain
- First Aid and CPR qualifications

This role will require motivated self-directed individual with a strong desire to grow and develop within the business.

Phosphate Hill

Dyno Nobel Manufacturing Operations - Phosphate Hill consists of an integrated open cut mine and processing facility, producing high quality ammonium phosphate fertilisers for domestic and export markets. The production facilities include ammonia, phosphoric acid, granulation and beneficiation plants. The plants are fitted with the latest technology and feature state of the art manufacturing processes.

The Granulation plant consists of the reactors and solids handling equipment necessary to turn gaseous ammonia and liquid phosphoric acid into high quality Granulated MAP and DAP fertiliser.
