About Operation Flinders:
Operation Flinders Foundation exists to transform the lives of young people who are struggling with complex challenges. We work with teenagers facing disconnection, disadvantage, and disengagement from school, family, and community, offering them an opportunity to step into the rugged Flinders Ranges, away from their usual environment, and rediscover their potential.
Our eight-day outback adventure is more than a trek: it's an experience designed to build resilience, purpose, and connection. Through shared challenges like hiking over tough terrain, navigating with maps, and camping under the stars, young people learn to face adversity with courage, work as a team, and reflect on their choices.
We believe every young person deserves the chance to build a better future. That's why we also invest in long-term support through mentoring, training, and engagement programs that extend well beyond the bush.
Operation Flinders Foundation has been doing this important work for 35 years, thanks to the dedication of our staff, volunteers, partners, and supporters who believe, like we do, in the power of the outback to change lives.
