About The Role
Reporting to the Category Manager, you will be supported in your career growth and serve as a conduit between Coles and our supply chain. You’ll use your strategic skills to decide growing partner choices for the Herbs & Mushrooms category and may visit local farmers.
You will partner with growers across Australia to secure stock, negotiate prices, and uphold quality for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Drive results and performance of your categories
- Work cross-functionally across Marketing, Operations, Transformation and Strategy
- Execute our customer-centric strategy for your categories to shape a legacy for the future
- Drive innovation within the category, working closely with the Coles Merchandiseteam
- Build strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, using negotiation and influencing skills to drive the category direction
About You And Your Skills
In this role you will use your experience in understanding market share gaps and help develop and implement a market-leading plan across this portfolio. Strong stakeholder management skills are key to success.
- Demonstrated Category buyer and/or Merchandise experience within a retail environment
- Outstanding influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinking in a dynamic, customer-driven retail workplace
- Proven ability to champion and drive change and continuous improvement
- Strong commercial acumen
- Customer-first approach
