Construction
CPP is Australia’s leading provider of end-to-end substation solutions for utilities and the renewable energy sector, delivering design, installation, and maintenance services up to 500kV. Specialising in both greenfield and brownfield projects, we have successfully delivered over 100 HV substations nationwide.
As the country’s most experienced contractor in Balance of Plant (BoP) services, we have connected more wind farms and battery storage systems (BESS) to the grid than any other provider. Our one-stop-shop approach covering design, civil, manufacturing, electrical works, grid connection, and commissioning, ensures seamless project delivery.
The Opportunity
As one of our Leading Hands, you will work on industry-leading projects across the greater Sydney area and/or regional New South Wales. You will be rewarded with excellent working conditions under our enterprise agreement and have the opportunity to work on high-voltage substation projects that are contributing to Australia's renewable energy future.
Leading Hands will join a great team culture as part of our onsite construction teams and work collaboratively to deliver these major projects safely, on time and within budget.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
o NSW Electrical License
o Sound knowledge of HV equipment
o Prior experience as a Leading Hand or managing an onsite team.
o Previous experience in the utility or industrial industry
o Although not essential, experience in substations, HV switc hing, HV testing, construction and maintenance will be highly regarded
o Transgrid training highly regarded
