Customer Service Officer – Steel Manufacturing Transcend Workforce is seeking a Customer Service Officer to join one of our clients in the steel manufacturing industry. This role is the first point of contact for customers in the building industry, delivering a high level of service across front counter, phone, and administrative support. Based in Geelong, you will work closely with the Branch Manager and sales, supporting daily business operations while also providing ad hoc support to another branch as required. This role suits someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and is comfortable balancing service, sales, and operational support. Details Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Payrate to be confirmed Full-time casual position on a 6-month engagement, with potential for permanent conversion at the client’s discretion Key Responsibilities Managing customer enquiries and sales, both over the phone and at the front counter Troubleshooting customer sales queries Upselling products and preparing quotes Sales data entry, invoicing, general administration, purchasing, and inventory control Assisting with dispatch and production planning (with guidance) Supporting branch operations and providing ad hoc support across two sites About You Previous experience in a phone-based customer service or sales support role Knowledge of the building or construction industry, with a strong understanding of measurements Ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of customers Excellent verbal and written communication skills Willingness to attend a medical assessment Applicants must hold valid and unrestricted working rights in Australia If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
