The Opportunity
The focus is sophisticated property investment and development work for developer and investor clients.
While there is "commercial" work involved, it is not standalone commercial law. It is closely tied to the property transactions the firm handles and typically includes:
* Advising on trust and company structures for property acquisitions
* Drafting private lending arrangements
* Advising on commercial leasing for investment properties
* Structuring matters for developers and property investors
* Managing complex property transactions involving companies, trusts and SMSFs
* Option agreements and off-the-plan matters
This role requires someone who understands the commercial mechanics behind property development and investment — not just the transaction itself.
You will lead and grow the Property & Investment division, working directly with sophisticated developers, investors and SME clients who expect commercially strategic advice.
KPIs and billable targets will apply, with profit share upside for someone who can lead from the front.

You must have:
* Minimum 5+ years PAE
* Proven experience in commercial property transactions and developer work
* Strong knowledge of trusts, joint ventures and private lending arrangements
* Confidence dealing with complex entity structures
* Experience with commercial leasing linked to property investment
* A track record of achieving KPIs and budgets
* A desire to grow a team and head up a division
* Exposure to strata or planning law is advantageous (or willingness to develop this expertise).
You are commercially confident, proactive and comfortable advising savvy developers and investors. You are also willing to contribute to business development, networking and building profile in the market.
