Collaborate within a dedicated team in a unique environment as a Cook or Chef at RAAF Williamtown (Newcastle). This roles is suitable for candidates that enjoy bulk cooking with a passion for quality, flavour, and presentation. You’ll get full training and support while working in a dynamic and fun working workplace.
The Position:
- Full time position
- 5.30am – 11.30 Monday to Friday – opportunity for extra hours
- Cook and serve breakfast & additional prep
- Prepare high-quality, buffet-style meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, and events
- Uphold catering standards, comply with OH&S; and HACCP regulations, and maintain a strong focus on waste reduction
- Support kitchen operations by managing inventory, receiving supplies, and monitoring cold room controls
- Provide exceptional customer service during all interactions
The Person:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Proven experience in large commercial kitchens.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, allergen management, and food safety.
- Passionate about quality, with a focus on presentation and attention to detail.
- Goal-oriented, committed to personal and organisational success.
- Team player with a can-do attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn and grow.
