We are seeking a collaborative and student-focused Librarian to support teaching and learning within our vibrant school community.
Based in the Tullow Resource Centre, this role helps foster a welcoming, inquiry-driven environment that supports the educational needs of young women.
Working closely with the Library Program Leader, the Librarian will:
Curate and manage diverse, high-quality resources aligned with the College's curriculum and mission;
Enhance access to resources both within and beyond the physical library space;
Develop and deliver co-curricular activities that support the learning and engagement of students from grades 5 to 12; and
Support the development of information literacy and inquiry-based learning across the College.

Permanent full-time, term-time position
Working term-time plus 3 weeks (approximately 40 weeks)
76 hours per fortnight
Hours of work: Must be available to work between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:00 pm, as negotiated with the Library Program Leader
Hourly base rate $******* – $******* per hour + *****% superannuation + leave loading

About You
To be successful in the role you will have:
A valid Queensland Working with Children Check Positive Paid Employee Notice.
Tertiary qualification in Library and Information Services, or related field.
Professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
Comprehensive knowledge and previous experience in the successful delivery of library services in an educational setting.
Demonstrated thorough knowledge and successful application of the Australian Curriculum and ALIA/ACSL statements on information literacy and digital literacy.
Hold a strong understanding of the application of technology to enhance learning including familiarity with Library Management systems, and databases.
High level interpersonal skills including a capacity to develop constructive relationships with students, parents and other staff.
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a small team.
It is a condition of employment that all staff members, unless otherwise eligible for an exemption, must possess a current Positive Notice or Blue Card issued under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act **** before commencing employment with the College.
Volunteer Blue Cards will be required to be transferred to Paid Employment cards.
