About the role
Our team is growing, and we have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior HR Advisor/ HR Specialist to join us, based in West Perth
Reporting to the Director of HR– APAC, the Senior HR Advisor/ HR Specialist will provide specialist HR advise around development of internal staff, implement system improvements with the HRIS system and provide ER and IR guidance and improvement plans. Your experience in working in an operational HR environment will set you up for success, along with exposure to enterprise agreement interpretation.
Responsibilities of the roleinclude:
* Provide advice and support on all ER/IR matters and ensure thatPHI complies with employment related legislation
* Formulate and recommend HR policies and objectives for thecompany with regard to employee relations that are cost effective andpractical.
* Proactively identify other people related areas where PHI couldimprove and enhance performance.
* Design, develop and execute best-practice initiatives for corehuman resources policies and programs, including succession and careerplanning, performance appraisals, recruitment, onboarding and employeeretention.
* Be involved in collective / enterprise bargaining employmentnegotiation processes Apply proactive, fresh thinking around existing HRsystems and practices with a view to continually optimising efficiency,better managing risk and continuously improving PHI International'sperformance.
* Work closely with Payroll/HR Administration to undertake administrative processes involved in HR including, but not limited to recruitment, induction, performance management and exit processes as required.
* Ensure HR policies and process are placed on the intranet foreasy access for managers and staff.
* Coach managers and provide ongoing support through handlingemployee relation issues.
* Provide HR advice and support to managers as required to ensure the organisation is in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations in relation to Employment.
To be considered for this role,you will need:
* Qualification in HR or related field, or significant relevant experience in an HR advisory capacity.
* Demonstrated IR / ER experience and a thorough understanding of Award interpretation and the Fair Work Act.
* Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organisational planning, organisation development, employee relations, safety, and training and development. Preferable across multiple jurisdictions, including New Zealand and Australia.
* Background in HRIS system improvements advantageous.
* Generalist HR experience across all or most facets, preferably with commercial acumen.
