About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Building/Surveying teacher to join our TAFE teaching team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality training in across both practical and theoretical areas, empowering students gain the skills and confidence to succeed in the industry.
An example of duties you will perform include
• Deliver engaging training and assessment of students
• Industry experience in building design, surveying, or construction
• Maintenance, safety, and quality systems
• Develop and update learning resources and assessment tools in line with industry and accreditation standards.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to students to help them achieve their learning goals.
• Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to ensure training reflects current and emerging technologies.
Salary: VT3 – VT5 ($89,911 - $114, % employer superannuation)
Type: Full-time, Fixed Term from January 2026 – December 2026
Hours: 38 hours per week (1.0 FTE)

About You
You will be passionate about sharing your knowledge with the next generation of building designers, surveyors, and construction professionals.
You will be an experienced educator or an industry professional transitioning into teaching who holds below:
• Advanced Diploma in Building Surveying
• In addition to the above, Diploma of Building and Construction will be highly regarded
• AIBS Membership (Australian Institute of Building Surveyors)
• TAE40110 with upgraded units or TAE40116 / TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or willingness to obtain
• Demonstrated industry experience
• Current Employee Working with Children Check or willing to obtain one
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations
