The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Managing Directors, the Finance Manager will be involved in V-DAQ's end-to-end financial operations, from day-to-day administration to strategic financial projects. The ideal candidate will be capable of growing with V-DAQ to meet its expanding needs and ambitions but with a core focus on delivering on the fundamentals. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth, and dynamic environment and aims to deliver the highest quality work.
Responsibilities
Manage bookkeeping, reconciliations, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable
Manage tax compliance obligations, including BAS, PAYG, and related lodgements
Lead End of Financial Year (EOFY) procedures and audit preparation
Manage payroll and superannuation compliance
Support and deliver internal financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
Support grants and government incentive applications and compliance, in collaboration with external grant specialists
Manage procurement policies and supplier/vendor processes
Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial systems and processes
Lead financial projects and initiatives
Qualifications
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA or CA preferred)
5+ years of experience across accounting, internal finance, or finance management roles
Strong knowledge and understanding of Australian financial law and compliance
Experienced in financial software and tools
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
Desired: Experience working in scaling organisations
Desired: Experience working in an engineering, technology or scientific industry/company
