**Your new role**
The Technical Policy Writer and Researcher is responsible for authoring the Corporate Services Division documents, providing technical writing for processes and procedures identified in the project space for updating the agencies' standards.
This includes authoring new procedure and process documents, along with maintaining, reviewing, and sustaining existing documentation.
Publications are to meet all applicable requirements including safety, regulatory, and legislative within the agreed style guidance. The role develops appropriate technical content by undertaking research and liaison with stakeholders.
You will utilise technical writing tools effectively to undertake documentation development and verification, manage your own elements of technical writing work packages, undertake validation of current publications design, contribute to the integration and validation whole cycle practices and procedures.
- Work within the division and stakeholders to gather, validate and document business procedures and processes for a defined programme of work.
- Hands-on delivery of the documentation during the project lifecycle, including SOPS, WI's, processes, some mapping and visuals for educational/informational purposes.
- Supporting project manager with communication between the business and specialist teams, synthesising issues and solutions to ensure stakeholder alignment.
- Strategic engagement with key stakeholders to increase awareness of the business analyst service offering and knowledge of project requirements.
**What you'll need to succeed**
Qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience are highly desirable:
- Public policy
- Strategic/business planning
- Public Service formal documentation experience
- Communication and relationship building skills
- Data analysis and interpretation skills
